What to do

There are many things to do once you visit japan. If you are traveling to Tokyo, you should go and visit Tokyo tower, which is a huge tower located right in the heart of the city. climbing up to the top will give you a great view of the city, if you aren’t afraid of heights.

There are also many shops which you can visit. Japan is known for being the best when it comes to souvenirs, so make sure your prepared to go on a shopping spree

There are also many different restaurants to visit if are hungry. My suggestions are to find authentic Japanese dishes to eat. the typical meal for a Japanese man/woman is a lot of seafood (sushi, fish, lobster, clams, etc).

If you need help finding places to visit, head over to the map for some help!

What to Pack?

When traveling to Japan, one of the most important things to have is a passport with an empty page for visas. The passport must have at least 6 months validity.

When it comes to clothing, the seasons tend to be similar to how it is in the US. In the summer, you want to wear light clothing with shorts and sneakers/sandals. In the winter, wear heavy wool coats or waterproof boots. In the fall, wear light wool coats and stick to autumn colors. If your traveling during the spring, March is still chilly, so pack a light wool coat with long pants, However you can start to kick in the summer clothing around late April and early May. Some all around clothing would be a raincoat, and neutral shirts, which will help you blend in.

Japan is full of awesome shops that you can go to, which pretty much have anything you could think of, so I recommend only bring the strictly necessary items with you, so you will have enough room for souvenirs and toiletries Some essentials that you need to bring are :

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste.
  • Sunscreen and your sunglasses.
  • Your deodorant and some basic painkillers.
  • Tampons and pads for women and razors for men.
  • A decent toiletry bag to keep everything organized.

While on the plane, it is important to keep with you a travel blanket, noise canceling headphones, a travel pillow, and some water.

Something to note, most Japanese stores accept international cards, so its best to not bring to much money on you. you can always use an ATM if need be
